WHAT'S NEWSpecial Events: Introduction of Mystery Quilt, Trunk Show and Workshop Featuring Sherri Hisey I am extremely pleased to be featuring a well known Canadian designer, Sherri Hisey of Border Creek Station Pattern Company here in North Bay to introduce her newest mystery quilt, as well as to present both a trunk show and workshop for North Bay and area quilters. Sherri is a recognized Canadian designer who actually resides in Ontario. She is a well respected designer who is featured at both Canadian and American quilt conferences, as well as in quilting magazines. Most recently, Sherri's design, "Oh, My Tangled Stars" was featured in the February/March 2008 issue of the popular magazine "Quilt". Sherri began quilting by accident in 1982 - she was dragged to a class by a friend (doesn't that sound familiar). She openly admits quilting did not come easy for her. When she started teaching her focus was to ensure that other quilters did not suffer the same frustration as she had. Taking the mystery out of quilting became the focus of her classes with emphasis on solid basics. Mystery Quilt Introduction - Friday September 12th 2008 Sherri will be introducing her new mystery quilt design "Quilter's Double Cross" that starts this fall. Don't miss out on sharing this experience with the designer herself! Quilter's Double Cross comes either in a lap size (58" X73") or queen size (102"X102"). Choose between 2 beautiful border options - plain or pieced. As a mystery club member you will receive full colour, original installments for 7 months of total suspense for a true quilting adventure!
